Easy Riders Raging Podcast

Now in our fourth series, we're back and this time around we're talking 1980s films of all shapes and sizes. But not just that, we've got eps on 80s TV, and music videos and more! As ever our episodes include trademark features such as Recastarama (where we recast the film using current actors) and Who Am I (where we work out who we would be in the film). Lots of fun to be had. [Our 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s series are also available]

From Star Wars to Saturday Night Fever, to The Godfather and Grease, Annie Hall and Alien, the 1970s was THE decade for great movies. Here at Easy Riders Raging Podcast we're looking back at all the classics of the decade, discussing the films of Scorsese, Friedkin, Coppola, Altman, De Palma and many many more. Aside from our discussions, each episode includes some of our trademark features such as Recastarama (where we recast the film using current actors) and Who Am I (where we work out who we would be in the film). Lots of fun to be had. [Our 1960s series is also available]

All aboard as we kick off our run of episodes on Alfred Hitchcock films from the 1950s, starting with a conversation between myself and Campbell on 'Strangers on a Train', which is- in case any of you haven't seen this one- one of Hitchcock's best, that we both strongly recommend.

This week I'm joined by Dan Thomas to discuss the Nicholas Ray film 'In a Lonely Place', starring screen legend, Humphrey Bogart. Along the way we talk about meet-cute's in the morgue, we compare the lead character to OJ Simpson, laugh at the character's name (Dixon Steele!) and talk about how this film is very applicable to the #MeToo era.

Yes, it's another cartoon episode as this week Campbell, Kieran, Paul and I discuss the Bugs Bunny/ Daffy Duck cartoon 'Ali Baba Bunny'.

In this episode Kieran, Paul and I are back discussing Warner Bros. cartoons, and today it's a Marvin the Martian double-bill as we discuss 'The Hasty Hare' (which features our Bugs Bunny) and 'Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century' (which has Daffy Duck as the lead). Oh, and you can also hear quite a bit of conversation about the works of Ardman Animation in the back-end of the podcast.
